Try a spin-off of everyone’s favourite snack-time spread by incorporating chickpea hummus flavours into a super quick, savoury oatmeal breakfast.
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup Nature’s Path Organic Old Fashioned Oats
- 2 tbsp minced fresh parsley
- 1 tbsp tahini
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- ¼ tsp sea salt
- ¼ cup cooked chickpeas
- Combine water and oats in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until desired texture is achieved.
- Stir in the parsley, tahini, lemon juice, and salt. Remove from heat and scoop into a large bowl or divide into two small bowls. Top with chickpeas and serve.
