Although Nature’s Path was founded in 1985, the seed of our company was planted much earlier – as far back as the 1930s.
Arrans Stephens, the co-founder of Nature’s Path, grew up on a second-generation organic farm. Arran’s father, Rupert Stephens, taught him how to care for and nurture the soil, telling him to “always leave the earth better than you found it”. Arran’s fondest memories are of helping his parents gather and spread kelp on the fields, planting corn with his father and wandering through the farm eating sun-ripened berries. His childhood instilled in him a love for nature and wholesome, organic foods.
Arran followed a path that led from the farm to India and ultimately to becoming one of the pioneers in the organic foods movement. A family-run company to this day, Arran, Ratana, and the rest of the family are still very involved in the day-to-day operations.
